It’s almost February and that means the countdown to BeKind UNM Week.
BeKind UNM week will begin with the Teddy Bear Toss at the Lobo men's basketball game Tuesday, Feb. 15 at 7 p.m. Participants are asked to bring a new stuffed animal to toss onto the court during half-time to benefit the Albuquerque Police Department and the Albuquerque Fire and Rescue. The bears are used by officers to give to children in traumatic situations.
The Kindness Carnival will be held Thursday, Feb. 17 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Ballroom A of the Student Union Building. Organizers will be collecting food and toiletry donations for the Lobo Food Pantry at the Carnival. Participants who bring a donation will receive a raffle ticket and entered into our grand prize drawing. If department would like to have a table at this year's carnival, table reservations are open.
Prizes include:
- UNM one-month parking permit
- $25 gift card to the UNM Bookstore
- 1 Lobo Tune-Up at the Lobo Bike Shop
- 1 W.O.W Fitness Schedule Pass for the semester
- UNM swag
