UNM's Information Technologies (IT) has scheduled a data center outage for Sunday, Sept., 29 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

During the course of routine monitoring, UNM's IT identified a key component in the data center that requires replacement to ensure the reliability and availability of IT services and to mitigate the risk of lengthy unplanned service outages in the data center.

IT has worked with business owners, advisory boards and other partners to identify th ebest dates to complete the work with the least amount of impact on users. 

While there is no ideal time to perform this work, IT thanks users in advance for understanding the need to complete this work.

Major services unavailable include, but are not limited to those listed below:

o   Learn
o   MyUNM
o   Appworx
          - Banner
o   CCURE
o   FAMIS
o   ListServ
o   MyReports
          - TMA

Major services that will not be impacted:

o   VPN
o   LoboMail/O365 Suite
o   Wired internet
o   Wireless internet
o   LoboTime

How you can help:

  • Identify any critical (life-safety) services that must not be interrupted. 
  • Identify potential risks of service outages on Sept. 29.
  • Work with your faculty, staff, students and vendors to make sure service disruptions are well communicated and mitigated, where possible.  
  • Leverage supplemental communication mechanisms to help us keep the campus community involved and well informed.
