Lobo faculty, staff, students, and members of our community are invited to campus Nov. 6-14 as UNM celebrates the 2025 Research and Discovery Week (R&D Week). A variety of exhibitions, workshops, lectures, performances, and other activities will be open to the public and on display all week across UNM campuses.

This year, the Office of the Vice President for Research (OVPR) is introducing an easier way to keep track of all the events individuals want to attend during R&D Week. The Sched calendar allows individuals to customize the events they don't want to miss, just click the "my schedule" button and sign up to add the sessions to your personal schedule.
UNM’s OVPR launched R&D Week four years ago with the goal of showcasing The University’s entire research enterprise, while promoting resources and opportunities available to all UNM researchers.
“Each year, Research & Discovery Week continues to not only grow in the number of events but also in the vibrant list of interdisciplinary projects that we have to showcase.” said UNM Vice President for Research Ellen Fisher. “This week serves as a tribute to the efforts of researchers, scholars, and artists who are pushing the boundaries of knowledge and weaving a narrative of innovation and creativity that resonates far beyond our state lines.”
UNM researchers are often asked, ‘what kind of research’ happens on our campuses each day; R&D Week helps to enhance that visibility, while strengthening collaboration across communities, ultimately diversifying the research, innovation, and creativity that make UNM a premier research institution.
R&D Week will feature several events listed below but this is just a glimpse into the week, for a full schedule visit our website!
